Modesto Man Killed in Near Head-On Collision Just Ahead of 2025 Christmas Holiday
A tragic near head-on collision has claimed the life of a young Modesto man just days before the 2025 Christmas holiday, and a community is asking questions about their rights if they are injured in a serious car accident this winter. According to local news reports citing the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened early Tuesday morning on Avenue 7 ½ east of Road 9 in a rural area of the county. After the impact, the Dodge left the roadway, struck a power pole, and overturned. The Dodge driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The Chevrolet driver was wearing a seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries. Investigators have not yet determined whether impairment played a role in the crash.
